Planning for the venture started in late 2010, and things became more concrete in early 2011. The grand launch was planned for February 1, 2011 (!!!). However, as we all know, Egypt took an unexpected turn on January 25th, and the plans were a little delayed.In April 2011, the company was launched. Service first started by only covering the Maadi area, providing around the clock house-calls. Things picked up quickly though and soon, with New Cairo, Zamalek, and Heliopolis, other areas were added. In September of 2012, Tabibi had another milestone, with the opening of its first two state of the art medical clinics. They are located in Maadi and in Sheikh Zayed and provide all types of pediatric clinical care (sick cases, well checks, vaccinations), in addition to a range of other services like speech therapy, homeopathy, surgical consultations, and psychology for children.
